How to Use OpenVPN with Radius Authentication

I have found that the interweb is rife with confusing, incomplete, and incorrect information regarding the use of OpenVPN with radius authentication. So, after a lot of work and testing I'm documenting my working setup along with some important notes and pitfalls I've discovered. In our case the need was to allow remote vpn clients access to an office LAN using SSL certificates and Windows AD authentication.

Using Old HP Printers in Ubuntu

Recently trying to install an HP OfficeJet G85 on Mint 18, I had no luck using the system's printer tool (CUPS). I could see the device with lsusb, but CUPS didn't recognize the device (and hplip was already installed).
